I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio. I am the third of nine children in my family. It was these experiences, helping my mom with my younger siblings that influenced my further decisions to work with children including as a nanny, counselor at camp and then pediatric nurse. I was also a full time Nurse Practitioner while bringing up my son. Most importantly, my mother was a nurse and an inspiration.
I have worked at multiple major children’s hospitals and clinics, including: Rainbow Babies and Children in Cleveland, Ohio (as an RN in ICU, OR and ED) Los Angeles Childens Hospital (as an RN in ICU and ED) Seattle Children ( as both RN, nurse educator and then Nurse Practitioner for surgery specialties )and Nemours (as a Nurse Practitioner), here in Jacksonville.
